What does the FSC® label on packaging mean?

The FSC® label on packaging means that the origin of the paper and cardboard used in its production is controlled in accordance with FSC requirements. Depending on the type of FSC label, the packaging can be made from FSC-certified forest raw materials, recycled materials, or controlled sources.

The FSC system helps ensure a more responsible use of forest resources and reduces the risk of timber being sourced from illegal or other unacceptable sources. Simply put, by choosing FSC® labeled packaging, you are choosing packaging whose paper and cardboard origin is controlled and traceable.
